I watched the Loki pilot about an hour ago, which I enjoyed very much, and I just now started trying to really make sense of the logistics of the Time Variance Authority, in direct contravention of my own First Rule of Time Travel. If you see me doing that again, remind me that we are not here to try to make the time travel plot make sense, we are here to watch Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson do excellent and surprisingly long two-hander scenes together. And various other things that might be too spoilery to get into this soon after the pilot has aired.

(sidleypkhermit's First Rule of Time Travel: No time travel story, in the history of time travel stories, has ever made complete logical sense. I'm talking about the greats here, BttF, 12 Monkeys, Bill & Ted, all the times they time-traveled on Star Trek, when you get right down to it it is not possible for a time travel story to make complete logical sense, it's not what they're for. Thankfully, the miracle of the human imagination is not restrained to things that "make sense.")
