I posted this as a comment in tamsinwillougby's journal, and since I've been off the radar a little with the move to Idaho and all, here's what I've been up to fandom-wise:

Spent the summer fully immersed in the Loki Disney+ series, for which I kept an active discord and a lovely little flashfic comm running while the collective enthusiasm was at its peak. (These still exist, but are in a natural hibernation cycle, in the way of such things.)

I also got into Only Murders in the Building, where I had the treat of inaugurating a rarepair. And as of a couple weeks ago I am fully obsessed with Amazon's gorgeous and thrilling Wheel of Time show, having never read the books, which makes it a very exciting thing to get into as the winter sets in since in addition to the still-airing first season there are 9000 books to read if I want. 😅  (I've bought the first one. Haven't cracked it yet.)

What have you been up to fannishly? Anything to plug or recommend?

Oooh, congrats on Idaho! Quite a lot of it is very pretty! I may have a reading rec for you, but I want to see where the storyline goes before confidently rec'ing it.

Thanks! it really is lovely up here. One's never far from nature, even here in Boise which is like Beginner's Idaho if you're a coastal city freak like me. 😅 I ought to start snapping more pictures.

Somehow I missed that Wheel of Time is based on a book series (which I also clearly have neither read nor even heard of.) I keep seeing the same ad for the show, but from those I got the impression that it was maybe kinda sorta made on the cheap. I'm basing that on the costumes and the orc-like bad guys. But if you're saying "gorgeous" then I'm gonna go with my impression being very wrong, and I think I will give it a try in the new year. :)
