Snowflake Challenge 4: Wishlist 

In your own space, make a list of things that you wish existed in fandom or elsewhere, and/or that you'd like someone to create or do for you.

I'm just going to do a little personal fandom wishlist of things for me — it's been a long time since I could say with confidence what does or doesn't already exist somewhere out there in fandom. ;)

1. New LJ friends! It would of course be lovely to have more people to chat with on LJ about my existing fandoms; some of the fandoms I'm writing/reading in these days include The Wheel of Time (TV and I'm starting the books), Only Murders in the Building, The Terror (AMC), Endeavour, various permutations of Marvel, and I'm sure I'm missing some. But it's also nice to meet new people on here in general, and we don't have to already have fandom interests in common to have interesting conversations. I'm interested to know what you're reading and watching, and maybe discover something new.


2. Every writer puts this and I'm no different: I would love to see art of any of my stories. Also I think "Derry Days" would make a particularly good podfic because of the time-loop music cue, but it's so long I don't think anyone will ever do it. 3. I'm trying to come up with another one, because three is after all the magic number, but I think that's it! (I guess number 3 would be, don't explain to me about why you don't use LiveJournal, just go on with your day, thanks. :) )

Have you checked out the 1_million_words community here? It's a good group of people and most of them are still on LJ. I've found it a good place to make friends (and the 1 million is a collective total, not an individual goal).

I haven't done my fourth challenge yet. I think the only art that's been made for something of mine was a banner that colleendetroit made for my Great Risks (OZ) series. It's not something that I think of to ask for though.

I've never gotten art for one of my stories, though someone did a podfic of a short one once and that was cool.

Hi! I don't know if you have any interest in DW, but there's a comm where we're doing a (re)read of the books. We're currently on book 2, but you're welcome to join in on older discussion posts. https://tar-valon.dreamwidth.org/ It's also open to discussion of the tv show, as well. (I have it DL'd but wanted to wait to watch it until I'd re-read the first book, and now the second due to minor spoilers I read about when characters appear.)

I think I am the only writer that does NOT want art for her fic. Or a podfic. Or it translated into another language.

I do second the 1 million words comm rec. ( I CANNOT REMEMBER HOW TO TAG THIS PROPERLY. WHAT THE HELL. *AHEM*) It's a really fun place.
