Date: 2018-04-01 08:09 pm (UTC)my favorite female character: Willow!
my favorite male character: Uhhhh. Oz? Oz was pretty solid.
my otp: Well... I think it was Willow/Tara, until things got really dark.
my ot3: Anya should've gotten to have sex with the two Xanders that one time
my rare pair: Giles/Ethan
my anti otp: Spike/Buffy was kind of *already* my anti otp, before it became canon, and then, well. Well! That happened! I do feel for the fans who actually did ship them, though, I mean, nobody wanted that to happen.
my favorite pair of enemies/rivals/antagonists: Hmm. Buffy and Faith, probably. Can't mess with the classics.
my favorite cast member: Charisma Carpenter, for all the b.s. she went through. Something is wrong with Joss Whedon! Like really wrong with him!
a character I’d die defending: Buffy's mom T.T
a character I just can’t sympathize with: the men, overall
a character I grew to love: I think Buffy herself. I feel like I had a hard time connecting with her in the high school years because I just naturally identified with the "nerdy" characters, and didn't appreciate the richness of her character (and SMG's performance) until later on.

*nods* I don't get some of the hate Joyce seems to get in fandom. Maybe it's me watching the show for the first time when my own kids were almost teenagers, but while she was fallible and human, I thought she did a pretty good job with the information she had, or at least no worse than Buffy's friends and Giles.
Charisma Carpenter, for all the b.s. she went through.
*nods* She seems to be a total class act about it all, which is really impressive.

That's a really good answer. She is not the kind of character I like normally at all, but I ended up really impressed with her over the course of the show.
