While making this post, I just discovered how irregular I am with actually posting my fic on LJ, which is weird because my most treasured blogosphere is here. I'll look to be more consistent in the new year.
Title: this wheel's on fire
Fandom: Wheel of Time (TV)
Pairing: Mat Cauthon/Thom Merrilin
Rating: PG-13
Word count: 2201
Notes: I'm writing for the Prime TV adaptation where I watched a hot, mysterious bard and a disaster bisexual have some Moments. Book fans who think Mat/Thom is a super weird pairing might still enjoy this for the Mat character study.
SPOILERS through WoT episode 1x06, "The Flame of Tar Valon." There are no book spoilers, because I haven't read them, but there are some allusions to what I've picked up about the books from the very welcoming and enthusiastic WoT fans on tumblr.
And now a quick poll: I've stopped posting the text of stories in LJ entries in favor of only giving the external archive link, because as much as I miss LJ commenting styles over AO3, I don't think anyone is reading fic in their LJ feed anymore (judging from the fact that I haven't had any fic comments via LJ for a few years). But are there people who do still like to read on LJ, at least for shorter works? If so, I'll go back to doing both.

Date: 2021-12-28 05:05 pm (UTC)I'm still posting the majority of my fics on LJ because I'm stubborn but I'm also cross-posting to Ao3 sometimes and DW sometimes.
If I know the fandom, I'll read it pretty much anywhere.
I really enjoyed your fic. Haven't seen the series yet but I've read many of the books and did finish a re-read of the first book recently. (They are entertaining but can be a bit of a slog).

Date: 2021-12-28 06:41 pm (UTC)I've barely started Eye of the World, having bought it to fill the cravings between show episodes, and it's already a little challenging. *g* But maybe a big boi like this will be just what I need for the long winter.
